Initial Designs

Colour ideas at this stage, as well as lots of glitter and sparkles to embellish the costumes - making them vaudeville/performance/entertainment worthy.

Guilty 1- Black/grey chiffon attached creating floaty movement, symbolising grim reaper/death.

Guilty 2- typical showbiz colours- 1920's shapes of the panels, fringing on edges. Could be 'jazzed up' with diamonte's or glitter fabric. Blood splats symbolise that she's actually a murderer disguised by the glamorous costume.

Guilty 3 - 1920's style godets in the costume, could be actual godets or glittery fringing in the same style. Again blood splats over her an the costume to symbolise the fact she is ACTUALLY a killer!

Guilty 4 - Whole thing made up of layers of fringing that will sway and move during the routine. Shape of the costume may need to be adapted depending on how much skin would be needed to grip the pole.

Guilty 5 - Simple black shaped costume (could be glitter fabric), red godets to represent the blood. Could be hidden in the waist and 'revealed' during the routine?

Guilty 6 - 1920's shape/panels. Fabric would be glittery, top panel is power net (potentially red) that can be embellished with diamontes.

Guilty 7 - 1920's fringing and shaping embellishment. All the fringing would sway and move during the routine.

Guilty 8 - Diamond shapes based on 1920 fashion, fringing incorporated where practical creating movement

Guilty 9 - Top part glitter panels, bottom part - base practical pants with lots of fringing hanging down from waistband.

Innocent 1 - Simple white costume, floaty fabric draped over the costume. Representing the 'surrender white hankie', her innocence is tainted with blood and dirt as she gets hanged in the story. A corrupt criminal justice system?

Innocent 2 - Depending on routine and how much skin is needed, a base 'practical' costume made up of bra and pants, with layers of dirty white decaying fabric attached. Innocence and gracefulness yet tainted and unjust.
